Cruickshanks Boutique B&B

Cruickshanks Boutique B&B is a rather special bed and breakfast located on the Isle of Arran in Scotland and was awarded Guest Accommodation of the Year, Scotland 2018 - 2019 and is the only 5 -star B&B on the island. The accommodation lies above Whiting Bay village with commanding views over the Firth of Clyde towards the Ayrshire and Dumfriesshire coasts.

All bedrooms feature luxurious Hypnos mattresses, Egyptian cotton bedlinen and comfortable hypo-allergenic duvets from Snuggledown. Each has a comfortable seating area, excellent Wi-fi Internet access, flat screen ‘Smart’ TV, DAB clock radio with Bluetooth sound system and electric kettle with a selection of teas, coffee, hot chocolate, and home-baking. All bathrooms are en-suite and feature overhead ‘rain’ showers, bathrobes, towels, hairdryer and toiletries from Arran Aromatics. A large and well-appointed sitting room is available for guest use with a wide range of books, maps, and journals.

Breakfasts have been critically acclaimed. We offer homemade muesli, jams & marmalades, and artisan breads, in addition to cooked options including the traditional Scottish breakfast, French toast with maple syrup and smoked haddock which is a local speciality. Afternoon tea, featuring Nanette’s tasty home baking, is available at 4pm every day. We can cater for most diets; vegetarian, vegan, gluten free. Please just let us know in advance.

Cruickshanks is within a very short walk of the fine 18-hole Whiting Bay Golf Course and has a number of excellent local walks including the dramatic Glenashdale Falls and imposing neo-lithic standing stones known locally as ‘The Giants Graves’.
