Parent & Child Samba Drumming Workshop

Samba drumming taster session for a room full of people to play percussion as one with teachers from our own local samba band - Bloco Winnoch. You and your child(ren) will take part in a samba bateria, or drumming group, of the type that comes together in the Brazilian carnival. You will try several instruments and play together as a massive carnival band. By watching the director's signals and listening to the whistle the band will learn how to weave together a complex samba rhythm that will be heard in the hills above Howwood! Suitable for children aged 8 y/o and upward. Ear protection mandatory and foam plugs are provided, however if you have ear defenders - bring them. We'll provide all the instruments. Cost: £10 per family for up to two children. Please ensure you add each child to your booking. Pre-Booking is advised but where there is availability walk-ins will be accepted on the day. If you do pre-book but are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible incase we are operating a waiting list. This way others won't miss out.
