The Isle of Cumbrae has a treasure trove of unheard stories to tell. It's also known as a ‘cyclist’s paradise’. We thought we’d put these two things together and bring to you Jack’s Storytelling Bike Tours.Let us – The Jack Cousins - take you around Cumbrae’s 10-mile circuit, telling you the island’s many undiscovered stories along the way.

But if you think you’re in for a history lesson, think again. Expect the alternative tales of Cumbrae, the Firth of Clyde, and its surrounding islands. Something a bit different and told in our own unique way.

We’ll delve into such stories as the drunken inspiration behind the Crocodile Rock, to the cave hermit responsible for Indian rock, as well as the island’s many celebrity connections such as Billy Connolly, David Tennent, and Boaby the Barman – what a trio!

Tours run every Saturday at 11:00am through the Summer, and last for 2.5 hours. They set off from Millport town, just across the road from Mapes Cycle Hire.

Tours cost £10 for Adults, and £6 for Children. Discounted family group tickets are available too.
