This beautiful walk takes you along a high coach road and Ayrshire’s wonderful sandy and rocky coast. Be extremely careful crossing the fast road only when it is completely safe to do so. On the high coach road look at what you are walking on and the remnants of the old surface. It’s an early example of local boy, John Loudon McAdam’s Tar MacAdam surfacing technique. This is an extremely scenic walk along Ayrshire’s Coastal Path with the amazing geology of Black Neuk, Woodland Bay and Horse Rock.
